ReLOaD project: Public call for membership in Advisory group

Public call to civil society organizations, academic institutions and individuals for membership in the Advisory group of the ReLOaD Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Goal of the ReLOaD programme is to strengthen partnerships between local governments and civil society in the WB by scaling-up a successful model of transparent and project-based civil society organizations (CSO) funding from local government (LG) budgets. This way of financing is directed towards greater civic engagement in decision-making and improvement of local service delivery. Underlying intention is to ensure sustainable and transparent approach to funding of CSOs by local governments’ budgets in line with local development strategies.

As a regional initiative ReLOaD will be implemented throughout the following WB countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo*(This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence) and Serbia. It is envisaged the ReLOaD project, during 36 months of project intervention, engage 50 local governments. In BiH it is planned for a minimum of 20 local governments to participate in the Project, together with 85 civil society organizations. Gender sensitivity and promoting multi-ethnic interventions will be given special consideration in each objective and all the activities.

Within the Project structure, it is envisaged that Advisory Group is to be established for supporting the Partner Board and for achieving greater project influence on civil society and local government. Advisory Group is to be established also to ensure information flow regarding project implementation and its effects of civil society and local government. Information regarding responsibilities, functions and composition of the Advisory Group can be found in Advisory Group Rulebook published on www.ba.undp.org. Advisory Group will be consisted of maximum 15 members.

Representative of the Advisory Group will participate in the work of Partnership Board. At the first meeting of Advisory Group, nominated members will elect their own representative in the Partner Board. CSO/Academic institution can nominate more candidates for membership in the Advisory Group, but only one candidate can be elected.
