The Civil Society Facility (CSF) and Media Programme 2014-2015, was adopted by the European Commission in December 2014 with the objective to strengthen participatory democracies and the EU integration process in the Western Balkans and Turkey by empowering civil society and by stimulating an enabling legal and financial environment for civil society and pluralistic media.
Through the Call for proposals Europeaid 151014 were awarded 16 long-term grants (LGT) with the aim to create or support regional thematic networks of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) active in a number of relevant sectors.
The final objective is to strengthen the capacities of the networks to advocate and effectively dialogue with Governments in order to influence policy and decision making processes and to produce lasting change in the society.
The priorities for this Call for Proposals were inspired by the Guidelines for EU support to civil society in the enlargement countries, 2014-20.
